The BID Board are always willing to listen to the views and opinions of the businesses in the town and as many of you are still struggling after lockdown, we have made the decision to review the current BID Levy Invoices.

Although every business should have benefitted from the Small Business Grant of £10,000 or £25,000, this only went so far and probably kept businesses afloat during lockdown when most were forced to close.

After speaking to some of you, we know that normality hasn’t returned and may not do for some time to come. Therefore, we have made the decision to re-issue the BID levy invoices, with a 25% discount.

Some of you may question, why we are able to do this, this year, but not every year. The answer is, simply, that we haven’t had to spend as much as normal due to events being cancelled throughout the spring and summer.

We do still have costs, for things like security, marketing, office rent and staff, so we have to maintain the invoices, but hopefully, you will agree that this goes some way to lessen the burden for you at this time.

If you are experiencing financial difficulty, talk to the council, who collect the payments for us, to see how you can spread the payments over the next few months.

Email BidLevy@wolverhampton.gov.uk to discuss this with the team there.
