This Saturday, Bilston comes alive as we celebrate St George’s Day right in the heart of the town.
Join us outside Bilston Town Hall for a lively afternoon of music, tradition, and community spirit.
Expect the uplifting sound of Black Country Brass, performing two sets packed with patriotic favourites, alongside the energy and colour of Sedgley Morris dancers—and don’t be surprised if a few spectators get swept up and invited to join in.
This event has been proudly funded by Bilston BID as part of a growing programme of events designed to bring more life, energy, and footfall into the town throughout the year.
From the sound of live brass echoing through the streets to the charm of traditional dance, this is a celebration of heritage, culture, and local pride. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick visit or settling in to enjoy it all, there’s something here for everyone.
We’d also like to give a special thank you to Andre, whose work through the Pride in Place initiative is already making a visible difference. Starting with a much-needed tidy-up around the Town Hall, his efforts will continue across Bilston—helping ensure the town looks its best for visitors and locals alike.
Events like this are what make Bilston special—bringing people together, supporting local activity, and creating a welcoming atmosphere in the town centre. It’s the perfect excuse to meet friends, bring the family, and be part of something shared.
Running from midday to 2:30pm, it’s an ideal way to spend your Saturday. While you’re here, take a wander, explore the shops, and make a day of it.
Let’s celebrate St George’s Day together—right here in Bilston.
