SteelStock 2018 Success

Hundreds turned out in Bilston for the first ever SteelStock Music Festival in June.

The event, organised by Bilston Business Improvement District, BID (discoverbilston.co.uk), involved
three stages – one by the Town Hall, one by Majors and the main one on the Bert Turner Boulevard.

Bands from across the Midlands, and further afield turned up to entertain the audiences, with
regular shoppers encouraged to join in the fun.

The sunny weather helped to swell the numbers and shops and pubs reported a boost in sales of
food and drink.

BID Manager, Simon Archer said, “Most of the businesses in the town were really pleased with the
event and have asked for a repeat next year. Although not all of them saw a rise in revenue, they
recognise that this is something that will bring new people into Bilston and that’s our main
objective”.

The BID would welcome suggestions from anyone who has ideas to improve next year’s event or
from artists who would like to perform.
